Ouachita NF, Beech Creek National Botanical AreaSmithville, OKFrom Smithville go north on US 259 to OK 63, turn east and go about 6 miles to the sign for the Beech Creek Scenic Area. That forest road goes south about 5 miles to the trail head.
Wichita Mountains NWRLawton, OKFrom US 62 take OK 115 north. From I-44 take OK 49 west.
Palisades State ParkGarretson, SDFrom I-90 just west of the Minnesota Border take exit 410 to CR 105 north about 5.4 miles to CR 124 west. Follow signs to the entrance.
